The Common Good
Stoic Reflection on The Common Good. How we're all connected like parts of a body, helping each other thrive as Marcus Aurelius taught.
"We were born to work together, like feet, hands, and eyes, like the two rows of teeth, upper and lower. To obstruct eachA other is unnatural. To feel anger at someone, to turn your back on him: these are obstructions." — Marcus Aurelius

Look at your hand for a moment.
Five fingers. Each different. Each with its own strength and purpose.
Yet none existing for itself alone.
The thumb doesn’t compete with the pinky.
The index doesn’t resent the middle finger.
The ring finger doesn’t thrive at the expense of the others.
They work together or they fail together.
Now look beyond your hand – at your life, your community, your world.
Do you see the same truth?
